Welcome to Civic Engagement! We are part of the Center for Student Engagement. Our mission is to promote avenues for student learning and global awareness that nurture the development of responsible global citizens who are committed to building community in the intricate, multilayered world.

Jumpstart Corps members have the unique opportunity to inspire young children to learn, serve in a local community, collaborate with others on a team, and build professional skills.

Alternative Service Break (ASB) trips take place during Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer Breaks and provide a meaningful way for students to participate in enhancing communities.

Mobilizing Opportunities for Volunteer Experiences (MOVE) is a Georgia Tech student organization committed to community engagement and Into the Streets is their annual day of service for new and returning students each August.

MLK Day of Service is an annual event that is held in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Each January, Georgia Tech students honor Dr. King’s life and teachings with “a day on, not a day off”!

The Class of 1981 Fund supports community service opportunities at Georgia Tech and serves as a resource for all Georgia Tech student organizations participating in community service.

Community partners can easily request volunteers using our application form through OrgSync. We will work with you to promote volunteer opportunities with our students and service organizations to best fit your event needs.
